breathe

What if asthma didn't have to be part of your story?

I asked myself that question five years ago. The answer changed everything - and it had nothing to do with my lungs.

If you live with asthma, you already know

It isn't really about the bad days. It's the quiet way it shapes every ordinary one.

The mental note before every outing - "where's my inhaler."
The night you woke up fighting for a full breath.
The run, the hill, the dance floor you quietly opted out of.
The thing you've stopped calling a problem because it's just "how you are."

Who's behind this

I spent 25 years being told to manage it. Nobody told me I could change it.

I'm Liam, founder of Breathe Free Movement. For most of my life, asthma came packaged with fear, insecurity and anxiety I assumed was just mine to carry. Medication helped, but it was a bandaid. It managed the symptoms but never touched the root cause.

Until I learned how to retrain my breath. Four weeks of consistent, science-based Breathwork and the asthma that had defined me for two and a half decades simply disappeared. For the first time, I felt confidence and freedom in my own body.

I'm not a doctor. I'm someone who lived this, which is exactly why I built this because I want everyone to feel the same freedom.

The one idea that changes everything
Most asthma care manages the symptom. Breathwork addresses the breathing pattern driving it.

A fundamentally different approach - which is why the results are different. The first step is simply seeing where your breathing is right now.

This isn't wellness theatre. It's measured.

Independent science on one side. My own clients on the other. Here's what both say.

The science
2,880 people
across 22 randomised trials

A Cochrane review, the highest standard of medical evidence, found breathing retraining improved quality of life, eased breathing symptoms and supported lung function in adults with asthma.

Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, 2020
up to 90%
less inhaler use

In controlled Buteyko breathing trials, inhaler use fell dramatically, in one blinded study almost entirely, while symptoms eased and quality of life rose.

Your starting line

The BOLT score is where it gets real.

A simple breath-hold test of how dysregulated your breathing is. Here's the journey most clients make in their first 30 days.

Constricted Managing In control
11s Where most start
22s After 30 days

That isn't just a bigger number. It's the line between bracing for the next bad breath and not thinking about your breathing at all.

The people
4 of my first 5 clients significantly reduced their inhaler use within only 30 days.
Two of them don't reach for it at all anymore. Real results from my founding clients, not a borrowed statistic. As more people complete the program, these numbers grow with them.

"I did the Buteyko method a few times whenever I felt like I was struggling to breathe and it helped me go to sleep and reset my breath, so amazing. Haven't had to use any medication even while sick."

Fiona D. · BOLT 10 → 22

"I haven't been using my inhaler for 2 months now. No other meds as well. Haven't been in the hospital since the last time I told you. So overall way better, it feels like I have it way more under control than before."

Januely R. · BOLT 8 → 24

"I'm catching myself nose breathing more often and my diaphragm feels like it's kicking in without me even having to think about it. Big difference compared to a few weeks ago."

Sean F. · BOLT 13 → 21

You can't change a breathing pattern you've never actually measured.
